How Can severe Swollen Ankle Be Treated?

Hi,

First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it is less likely to cause one-sided ankle swelling only, however, serum uric acid levels, as well as blood counts and CRP, needs to be checked to rule out reactive arthropathy.

For reassurance renal function and urinalysis may also be needed to rule out any drug-related or infection related renal involvement. Meanwhile, OTC analgesics like acetaminophen can be used.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
